On November 9, 2024, KSM Group participated in the '18th Volunteer Love Good Fun Marathon,' held at Sangam World Cup Park in Seoul, with 210 employees actively taking part in the event. The KSM Marathon has been held annually since 2016, and this year marks the seventh event. This marathon was a significant occasion for KSM Group to promote employee health and demonstrate social responsibility through ESG management. With a significant increase from last year's 120 participants, this year's turnout reflects KSM Group's growing commitment to employee unity, well-being, and active involvement in meaningful initiatives.
FlowserveKSM employees challenged themselves by choosing either the 10km or the half marathon (20km) course. Starting from the Peace Plaza at Sangam World Cup Park, they passed through Star Plaza, Sky Park, and Nanjicheon Artificial Turf Field, enjoying the beautiful scenery. The half marathon presented a considerable challenge, as participants had to loop around the Sunset Park area twice, showcasing their determination and resilience.
In line with its ESG management principles, KSM Group combined the marathon with a charitable cause. Each participating employee contributed 10,000 KRW per kilometer completed, resulting in a combined total of 2,100 kilometers covered by 4 employees completing the half marathon and 186 employees completing the 10km course, which led to a donation of 21 million KRW.
After the marathon, a recognition ceremony was held within KSM to honor the participants for their efforts and contributions. Employees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to society while enhancing their health, describing it as an immensely meaningful experience.
The 'KSM Healthy Marathon' has established itself as an essential event to promote employee health, unity, and corporate social responsibility. Going forward, KSM Group remains dedicated to fostering a healthy corporate culture and further expanding its social contribution activities as part of its ESG management initiatives.
